This is an “out of the level” trick for LEGO Star Wars II on the Xbox 360 in the level “Rescue the Princess”. This should work on the other console versions of the game as well, but apparently Yoda is the only character that works for this on the PSP. (Thanks superslinger2007.)
So this is a glitch that will only work, as far as I know, with one character. Yoda from the original LEGO Star Wars is the only character I’ve found that can jump far enough to make this work. (Based on the comments I have read, this can also be done with the Emperor and Ben Kenobi.)
Using Yoda you are able to jump down to a normally inaccessible area of the level which is where you would normally use the crane to kill enemies to get a minikit. I was also able to find a way underneath the floor of the level to do the same glitch that is in my “Upside Down in Betrayal Over Bespin” video. Most of what you can down there is shown in the video, but there are a few things I left out:
- Using a second controller you can drop in and use the crane to pick up the first player just as you would normally.
- If you move too close to the inner area of the level (closer to where you start out) you will die.
